The Location:
Sunset Cabins are located in midcoast Maine in the village of Jefferson, north of the town of Damariscotta and about 6 miles off Route 1. The lake area is 4, 625 acres, maximum depth is 114 feet. We fish for salmon, lake trout, smallmouth bass, white perch, yellow perch, smelt, pickerel, alewife and eel.

You may want to take excursions to Boothbay and Camden, visit the Pemaquid and Owls Head lighthouses, eat lobster right off the boat in New Harbor, and drive to Freeport to shop at L.L. Bean and other famous outlet stores. It takes about 2.5 hours to get to Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park, but it's well worth a day's trip.
